INDIANA DRIVER ED COURSE DETAILS

Open road driving can be very dangerous for those who are not properly prepared. In order to ensure that young drivers are ready before they hit the road, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has instated a graduated driver licensing system to encourage young drivers to take the safest road to their license. Our online Indiana drivers education course is the first step on the road to your license!

How Drivers Ed Online Works

Taking drivers ed online is a great idea for anyone with a busy schedule or who prefers to work in a way that suits their specific needs. Since you complete the entire program from home at your own pace, you have control over when and how you learn. You'll always have time for our course because it is available whenever you need it. Whether you have a couple hours to spare at 11:00 am or only 20 free minutes at 10:00 pm, you can always access your study materials and make progress on your course!

The program itself has been designed with you in mind. Helpful features, like automatically saved progress, unlimited chances to pass, and live chat customer support make the course user-friendly, while enhancements like images, animations and videos make it fun! The course contains a total of 18 chapters. You will need to pass each quiz and an easy 20-question final exam to complete the course. Once you're done, your certificate of completion is emailed to you after five business days. If you need it sooner, you can upgrade to instant digital certificate delivery for an additional fee. You will be able to use this official certificate at the BMV when you apply for your permit.

Indiana Drivers Education Requirements

Before you can legally get behind the wheel, there are some steps that you must take:

Step 1: Complete Indiana drivers ed online. Our course satisfies the 30-hour requirement for classroom education hours.

Step 2: Enroll in a behind-the-wheel training program. Find an approved driver training school and make sure to make your reservations early, as these programs can book up!

Step 3: Apply for your learner's permit! You will need to take your knowledge exam at the BMV and make sure to bring all of the correct paperwork.
